the rookery at glenholme kirkcudbright self-catering cottage
Glenholme stands in an acre-and-a-half of mature, landscaped gardens which are its true glory. There are many different areas of the garden for guests to enjoy: lawns and formal gardens descending in terraces to a shrubbery with some rare plants; a wild, wooded area where rooks colonise the treetops; a pond with flag irises and water-lilies; a vegetable garden consisting of eight raised beds which provides food throughout the summer months; and a small orchard with apples, plums and soft fruits. There are garden benches and seating areas where guests can relax with a drink. You can even picnic in the garden if you wish.
